Introduction:
Hey everybody, it’s been a while I know. In the beginning of the year I went
down to my home country of Brazil and had a great time. Upon my return I was
pumped to get back on doing the blogs but then some personal issues resurfaced
and it completely took my attention. Then I tried to find a whole bunch of
things to do in order to keep my mind busy and now I have a whole bunch of
things going on in my life which includes the possible publishing of a new breed
of superhero/super villain comic book and a screenplay! I am really excited
about it so keep hope alive! Let’s begin…
UFC 98: GRUDGE MATCH Postponed till UFC 100::
All I have to say is…DAMN IT!!! Everyone knows that the fight between Brock
Lesnar vs Frank Mir at UFC 98 fall on May the 23rd, what you people don’t know
is that this fight would have fallen ON MY BIRTHDAY! Now it’s been postponed
because Frank Mir injured himself while training. What does this tell you? He
must be working extra hard because just like I’ve been saying all along, Mir
knows that Brock is way more experienced than he was last year and Mir will need
to step up his game, which is what he did thus causing the knee injury. I don’t
know how serious this injury is, but I assume it’s not that serious since the
fight has been changed for July 11th. Here’s the thing that will bother me.
Let’s say that when the fight happens, Brock beats Mir, I can definitely see Mir
giving out excuses by saying that the only reason Brock beat him was because his
knee wasn’t 100%. The reason I say this is because you have to believe that
Brock is going to focus on that knee and try to break it. Remember, Lesnar has
had over a year to work on his ground game and he must be almost perfect by now.
Now another thing I could be wondering and this is just speculation by the way,
what if Mir is faking this injury so that he could 1. get more time to train and
2. to throw Brock Lesnar off into thinking he won’t be 100% going into that
fight. I don’t know, what do you guys think? Let me know…
The Shamrock suspended for a year :
Yep, that’s right, Ken Shamrock has been suspended for a whole year for failing
a drug test. I mean I really have nothing positive to say about this because
professional athletes have a responsibility to the public and image is
everything. He was scheduled to fight Bobby Lashley but now the fight has been
canceled. Speaking of Lashley, I want to talk about him for a brief moment…Lashley
has been telling whoever wants to hear him that his goal is to fight Brock
Lesnar. In a recent interview he touched up the subject of not being ready yet
but in about a year he will be 100% ready to fight Lesnar, should the
opportunity present itself. Here’s what I think…Who is Bobby Lashley? Is he even
in the UFC? That’s exactly what I would say if I had never watched WWE in my
entire life.
The Ultimate Fighter:
One of my favorite shows is coming back for another season, The Ultimate
Fighter. This season they are going country versus country as The United States
go against The United Kingdom. This is actually a good idea as it wasn’t done
before in past TUF shows. The cool part about this is that Michael Bisping who
won TUF 3 is one of the coaches and I am a fan of his actually. He has great
discipline and a lot of skills. This show should be one of the best yet. Of
course my favorite show will be when Brock Lesnar becomes a coach, haha, I can
picture it now Team Pain! I guess it’s too early for that, so we’ll just bask in
the gloat of having him as our UFC champion and soon to be undisputed champion.
Closing:
I’m sorry to cut this short, but I really didn’t have much to talk about. For me
personally UFC is dull right now simply because Brock is not the center of
attention. I’ll be honest with you all, the last UFC show I watched was UFC 92
so I am a bit rusty with my UFC. But as I said before I have a lot of projects
going on right now so it’s hard to follow through on all of them at one time. I
hope you liked this comeback edition of the next big blog! Please if you have
