The latest issue of Muscle & Body magazine has a story on Brock's recent health issues and his road to recovery.
Another Deathclutch team member is set to be in action at UFC 116: Jon Madson will face Karlos Vemola. Both fighters have agreed to the bout but they are yet to sign (credit: mmajunkie.com).
Lots of Deathclutch action on July 3rd:
*Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin
*Chris Tuchscherer vs Brendan Schaub
*Jon Madson vs Karlos Vemola
Just a little quote I found of Brock's teammate Cole Konrad talking about Brock (credit: wcco.com) recently:
"More than anything he's [Brock] great at opening doors for you. He's got a big name but he's a really outgoing person. He's able to really open a lot of different avenues."
The interview mentioned that Konrad drives to Alexandria every day to train with Brock.
MMAmania.com reports that Brock's teammate Chris Tuchscherer will face Brendan Schaub at UFC 116 when Brock will make his long-awaited return to the octagon on july 3rd in Las Vegas, NV.
Brock Lesnar jumped around the octagon like he was ready to fight Saturday night at the Urban Plains Center.
It appears the UFC heavyweight champion will get that chance on July 3 in Las Vegas against top contender Shane Carwin.
“I just jumped in the ring and it was like ‘I was ready to fight,’ ” said Lesnar, who was the special guest at the Spring Brawl. “I wish I was fighting tonight, but good things come to those who wait.”
A number of media outlets reported Saturday that Lesnar and Carwin are set to fight at UFC 116 in Las Vegas. Lesnar said he couldn’t confirm if a contract for that fight has been signed at this point.
“Obviously, there is no one else I would fight,” Lesnar said. “As far as I know it’s July 3 and it’s Shane Carwin. … I’m not the guy to make the announcement.”
