THE STALKER IS BACK ON THE MIC

Mir's talking probably won't give him another chance at Brock's HW belt. However he will get a 3rd fight w/Brock should he win this weekend's fight vs Shane Carwin.

CARWIN COMMENTS ON BROCK

Carwin was interviewed on MMAweekly.com. Here is what he had to say about Brock:

As far as the interim belt, Brock is back, so it’s hard for me to understand that. The champ is fighting. He’s fighting this summer… I just think that interim belt is confusing to the fans a little bit.

I realize they announced that before Brock was planning on coming back. I guess they didn’t know the exact situation with him, so it’s understandable that they did that in the situation that they were in. It’s probably pretty hard to reverse that

I think Brock is good for the sport. He brings a lot of attention to it. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad. The more publicity that he brings to it, the new fans that he brings to it just opens a broader range of people to the sport, and that’s good.

ROY NELSON TALKS SMACK BOUT BROCK
Posted by Suzi, on 22 Mar 2010
From MMAfighting.com:

TUF 10 winner Roy Nelson is apparently not a fan of interim title belts or simply UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.

"All I know is, other fighters have been stripped of the belt," Nelson said Monday on The MMA Hour. "So why can't he follow right along with everybody else?"

When asked to preview the upcoming interim title fight between Shane Carwin and Frank Mir, Nelson for some reason (possibly for laughs) threw out there that Lesnar should have fought Carwin.

"Lesnar didn't want to fight him," Nelson said. "So he ducked Carwin; so now Frank gets him."

Of course, Lesnar was out with a career threatening illness. But that didn't stop Nelson from using a pro wrestling reference to say that Lesnar should have taken a step back and be required to fight again to reclaim the belt.

"I would have stripped him of his belt and left him to fight for the real championship and not the TV championship."

JDS TALKS BROCK

From MMAmania.com:

Derek Bolender (MMAmania.com): The heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has been a dominant champion so far. Are you the man to dethrone Lesnar? How do you feel you matchup with him?

Junior Dos Santos: I feel that I am faster than Lesnar. I think he would be surprised. It would be a good fight.

Derek Bolender (MMAmania.com): Every fighter has weaknesses. What would you say is one of Lesnar's?

Junior Dos Santos: His ground game is probably his biggest weakness.
