ESPN reports that WWE tried to get a UFC fighter to host their weekly show RAW. Of course, it's very likely they wanted Brock to do that. However UFC turned that offer down.
UFC 106 betting odds have just been released, and it’s predicted that UFC champ Brock Lesnar [-215 ML] will destroy Shane Carwin [+175 ML]. These numbers will probably change a bit so if you wanna bet on Carwin (*cough*) do it now.
Here is a recent interview with Frank Mir talking about his bout vs Brock at UFC 100, Brock's post fight interview, wanting a rematch, Brock vs Valesquez, Brock vs Fedor and more.
Dana White has confirmed the Lesnar vs. Carwin matchup for UFC 106:
“Brock is ready to go now and wants to fight. Carwin makes the most sense. He’s 11-0 and he’s been kicking the sh*t out of everybody. Gonzaga destroyed Cro Cop and he (Carwin) totally destroyed Gonzaga. Plus, he hates Brock Lesnar. It’s going to be two huge guys going at it. He’s got the power to knock anybody out and he’s got great wrestling, too. He’s one of the guys that has the size to match up with Brock, too.” (credit: thesavagescience.com)
UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will be defending his title against Shane Carwin at UFC 106 on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, according several “Tweets” posted at twitter.com/MinnesotaMMA.
The “Tweets: read:
“Just got word. UFC 106 on November 21 will feature Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin.”
This would be in Mandalay Bay in Vegas.
Carwin then responded to the news on his official website www.shane-carwin.com.
He stated, “Lots of talk going around right now. It seems to stem from a twitter post out of MN. I can’t confirm or deny anything I can just tell you guys I am training harder than ever and your support and loyalty will carry me through any fight they send my way. With you guys on my side I am ready for whatever happens. Stay tuned on the site or UFC.com for any official news about me.”
Carwin was previously set to take on Cain Velasquez in October at UFC 104 in Los Angeles, California.
It is now yet known if Velasquez suffered an injury and whether or not he will still compete at UFC 104.
