This comes from a recent interview with John "Bradshaw" Layfield (from aroundtheoctagon.com):
Q: What do you think about Brock’s success in the UFC?
JBL: He was a national champion. He’s a brute. I’ve never felt anyone as strong as him. When he went down to Mir it felt like I went down with him. It broke my heart. I was pulling for him so strong. I was out there with Undertaker and Stone Cold just to support him. I knew he’d come back. I didn’t think he’d dominate Couture like he did. I thought he had a good shot and I hoped he would win and I think he’ll get Mir this time. I’ve never seen anyone like him. He’s going to be dominant. I’ve never seen a freak like him and he’s such a nice guy. I couldn’t be happier for him.
Q: If Brock wins it sets up a third fight and that makes for a good rivalry which is good for the sport.
JBL: People want to see if Brock makes a mistake. I think he’s a lot better than he was the first time they fought. Mir can capitalize if he makes a mistake but I think Brock will take it.
Q: Didn’t Brock and Kurt Angle have an amateur wrestling match a few years ago?
JBL: They got after it one day after the boys tried to get them to go at it for a long time. We stirred that pot like crazy. It wasn’t a shoot but it was a wrestling match and they went at it pretty goo and it was fun to see for about 30 seconds.
Q: Who got the best of whom?
JBL: I’m not going onto record. I love both of those guys. I wish they could’ve gone at it in their prime. I’d pay big money to see that. Those guys aren’t good at wrestling. They are great at wrestling. Kurt Angle out of 6 million people was the very best. He vs. Brock Lesnar was King Kong vs. Godzilla.
Shane Carwin talks about a possible Carwin/Lesnar matchup (from insidefights.com):
Q: Moving forward, I’ve seen video of you online recently expressing desire to fight Brock Lesnar. I’m assuming you think he’ll beat Frank Mir at UFC 100 and you want the first crack him? Correct me where I’m wrong here.
Shane Carwin: No you’re right. I want whoever holds that belt. That’s my end goal. Right now Brock has it. Until Frank proves otherwise Brock still has it. We’ll see at 100. I’m not saying that Brock’s the winner or loser. I think Frank’s a great opponent and very talented and that fight can go either way. If Frank takes that away then I want Frank Mir. I just continually try to climb that ladder as they call it, to the next rung.
Q: There is a lot of buzz out there about a possible matchup with you and Brock Lesnar simply because of your similar backgrounds. Say he’s lucky enough to come away with a victory against Frank Mir and you guys get the opportunity to knock each other’s heads around a little bit. How would you envision a fight going with Brock Lesnar? What would you be able to do to him in the cage?
Shane Carwin: I think it’s going to be interesting stylistically because we’re both wrestlers. Probably pretty similar as far as where we’re at in our games. I might have a little more experience than him but obviously he’s been in bigger fights, a couple bigger fights of championship caliber under him. I would envision that fight taking place on the feet and throwing some big haymakers at each other, some bombs. That sounds like a good time to me.
I've added 4 new animations of Brock. Check them out in our media section. And speaking of the media section: it is finally back up, including wallpapers, buddy icons, support banners, avatars, audio interviews and signatures. Only the video vault is still down but I'll get to it soon.
Brock attended the the Elton John-Billy Joel concert Tuesday night at the Xcel Energy Center in MN, sitting 3rd row center.

Brock's lead trainer Greg Nelson answered Frank Mir's recent comments about Brock sill making basic mistakes:
"You could say that about everybody. The bottom line is it's an entirely different sport, wrestling and striking. So you've got a great, talented athlete who's doing something right. In one punch, he broke Heath Herring's eye socket and basically controlled the whole fight because of that punch. And knocked out Randy Couture with the same punch and knees."
Nelson also mentioned how Brock and his team handled the delay of the Lesnar/Mir rematch:
"We just got done with a training camp, as if we were training for the May fight. We brought everybody in to work with him and we trained just as if we were going through a training camp. Obviously (Brock) wants to fight, but we just take it in stride. Then we decided okay, let's use this to our advantage, get some more training, get some more time, get some more guys. Gives us more time is how we look at it."

Yes, it's another week of Frank Mir talking trash about Brock. I wonder if that guy is really as cocky as he seems or if this all is just done to promote the fight?! Anyways, Frank said Brock has done a lot of trashtalking recently (I think Mir does a lot more of it) and it's all because Brock is insecure and tries to get the attention away from him. Mir also mentioned he'd like to train Brock in a few years because Brock's still making lots of basic mistakes. Check out the article on
